It looks like the 18th at GCGC was in a different location in 1899.

All of them on the last page should certainly show.  Some I posted many pages ago using this site's hosting service are no longer displaying.  But I know they have been uploaded, just that in the upload process they get corrupted.  I can download any of those and rehab it thru a rehab program and the jpeg is still there.

Ed,

The above drawing of Shawnee was done in 1914-15 and is the first a number of course revisions and lengthenings done over the years. This is the original course routing from the advertising booklet composed and drawn by Tilly in 1911 before the course and Inn opened:

Charlie, the images which no longer appear were uploaded using the website's attachment feature and stored on gca.com's server.  All photos posted in this manner disappeared about a year ago.  It is not clear whether they will ever be restored.  Hopefully Joe Bausch (who found and posted the Siwanoy map) still has a copy and can either repost it here or send it to you privately.

Joe - Thanks for re-posting the map.  Now, if we can only get back to some of the features from 100 years ago.  Routing is exact same but we have covered up the creek on too many holes (1,10, 14).  The most intersting thing is that Hole #2 is actually only 402 yards today.  Ross spoke about #2 as a great golf hole at the time (and still is).

This a picture of the 1898 routing of RSG (Sandwich), which is visible on the wall of the men's locker room. It is a beautiful copy of a drawing which my photo does not do justice (especially holes 13 and 14).

(please use zoom for closer look)

It is remarkable that there were only 2 par 3's in the routing at the time and none on the back 9:
