This piece from Smithy is well worth viewing.
Beccles! How golf once was, and obviously still is in Beccles, which is in Eastern England.
Could easily be the place where the terms ‘fair-way’ and ‘rough’ were invented.

And you must try nearby Bungay and Waveney. Think I paid £20 for 36 holes pre-COVID, plus a huge trencher of sausage and mash for lunch, and it was super. Proper golf, in every sense, and the sort of place and local club that David would like

B&W sounds cool. I think there’s a recent Smithy video of it too.
There’s also not too far away Diss. On common land too.
Probably others as well.
