Nothing really new here - This is a really well researched and written piece on some of the history of the distance debate. It's amazing how little has changed over the years and how many concerns seem never to have any impact on the cycle of longer balls driving architectural changes/lengthening. Strong recommendation on spending the time to click through to read.
