The new design added about an acre to the current greens complexes which allowed for more hole locations and a more dispersed traffic pattern. In addition, the short game skills will frequently be on display. The renovation project took about ten months to complete.

This course is my go-to when down at the beach.  A solid bread-and-butter layout devoid of disco, I prefer it over Norman's Sharks Tooth and Fazio's Camp Creek along 30A.   Very casual club that I suspect is relatively expensive to join as it's really the only option in an area that has blown up with 7-figures first and second homes.  Hopefully they will continue to make afternoon tee times available to the public.  I hope to give it a visit when down there next month.

Bergin's carving out a nice living.  He's about to start a renovation at Brentwood CC just south of Nashville.

I would be interested to hear about Bergin's work at Chickasaw CC in Memphis - a Langford design that had very little Langford left from what I've been told.  If I recall correctly at least one architect on this site looked at the job.

All the best,
Mike
