OT - Ben Hogan, 1966

This afternoon I stumbled across this 53 second video of Ben Hogan hitting driver on the range at the Olympic Club practicing or  warming up for the 1966 US Open.

Despite being 53 years old and fighting a balky putter, Hogan finished 12th in that tournament.

The fellow at 19 seconds behind Hogan on the range could very well be Lee Trevino, making his US Open debut.

Very interesting and at some later point Hogan respected Trevino to the point he had him hit new Hogan clubs and give feedback. I doubt there were more than a couple of people Hogan admired for their ball striking.
