Wilmington Country Club Will Host BMW Championship in 2022

No date has been announced for the event, part of the FedExCup playoffs, but it is scheduled to be staged in late August 2022 over the facility’s South course.
It will be the third time over a five-year period that the BMW Championship has been played on the East Coast. Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square hosted the 2018 event, and the 2021 tournament is scheduled for Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md.

I’ve played the course half a dozen times, albeit not for ten years. It is a great club. The course is laid out on some hilly terrain with some nice short par fours and a few interesting par fives. I like the par threes a lot. I know they have done a bunch of work on the course. I’ll have to get back there.

The Playoffs have been quite nice for seeing some different courses. Conway Farms, Bethpage, Olympia Fields, Cherry Hills, Ridgewood, Liberty National, Aronimink, Glen Oaks, Crooked Stick, Plainfield, now Wilmington...I wish there were some more geographic diversity, but it's a pretty good set of venues.
