Maybe two:
Don't think twice it's alright.
And Jesus Loves Me.
Where there is no love, put love; there you will find love.

Hilarious, and right down my alley.

If I have to choose one tonight, Proud Mary.

Tommy,

Great song:  Pressing on the up awayAlways guide me Lord I prayUndeserving, and stubbornly never fail to love me still.

Got to say I do pray when I'm pressing. Seems like it's the Devils work. I do stubbornly press, on the way down that is.

Booker T. Jones? That is seriously obscure. Great choice.

I know a guy who saw Ike & Tina Turner in a small venue in Davis, California where I went to school.  This is back in the late 70s.  He said the Ikettes (from a few feet away) were spectacular in person.

Old John Fogerty is one of my heroes.  For golf, we've got to have that gentle mid-tempo groove.

Depending on the breeze: Not Fade Away (Buddy Holly) / Fade Away (Oasis)

Feeling confident: Bound for Glory (Tedeschi Trucks Band) / Fly Like An Eagle (Steve Miller)

Not feeling confident: Help (The Beatles)
He's the hairy handed gent, who ran amok in Kent.

My newly acquired Sirius radio subscription made me research CCR. Wow, they were wild back then :)

With a RIP to the wonderful Harry Dean Stanton, who once sat 2 feet away and sang Georgia on My Mind to me, at 2:00 am in the Viper Room on a Los Angeles summer night, and then left behind a big fresh glass of vodka and grapefruit juice for me to drink:
Georgia on My Mind.
I only wish I knew of gca back then; someone might've got me onto Riviera the next morning. That would've been sweet!

Anything by Steve Winwood...but if pressed to pick a specific song, it would be Valerie.

Playing on the Jakab guilt theme, when I was younger it probably should have been "Cat's In The Cradle" by Harry Chapin.

Now that the kids have grown and flown, I'll go with "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon & Garfunkel to get me feelin' groovy as I step to the tee.

Growing up, Tina Turner was the nanny for my best friend's next door neighbor.  I'm guessing I'm the only person in the Treehouse who has driven through Nutbush a few hundred times.

I was sure you'd go Huey Lewis & the News, likely something from Sports.
New for 2023:  Cheraw SP, Grandfather, Clyne, Tenby, Pennard, Langland Bay, Southerndown, Pyle & Kenfig, Royal Porthcawl, Ashburnham, Rolls of Monmouth, Old Barnwell...

It's impossible to pick just one song. So I'd need to go with Valerie and then Hip to be Square and then Power of Love.

A Beautiful Morning  by the Young Rascals

Because it's always a beautiful morning whenever you step onto a golf course.  Doesn't matter what time it is.
"If you're the swearing type, golf will give you plenty to swear about.  If you're the type to get down on yourself, you'll have ample opportunities to get depressed.  If you like to stop and smell the roses, here's your chance.  Golf never judges; it just brings out who you are."

A huge number of choices. Gamblers go with "Let's See Action" by the Who.  I am going with the old punk rock band X.  "Left & Right".

"Pressure Under Fire" by Gov't Mule....;-)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqa195cSBfg

If you guys don't know the band, do yourself a favor and investigate.
Warren Haynes played in the Allman Brothers for the past 20 years and his own band has at least 15 albums.

Will be seeing them October 14th in Chicago and they are on tour now. Just returned from Europe tour.
