I was suggesting that long term closure of a course through waterlogging is usually due to through the green areas rather than the greens.

it depends on your definition of 'approximate USGA recommendation profile'. I know of many courses who have claimed USGA specs just because of the perceived kudos.

I never said there weren't any just suggested the criminally stupid bit however I will bite. Pray tell which classical links have USGA with the odd subair system thrown in for good measure?  ;)

I believe Winged Foot East has converted their front 9 greens to "USGA Spec" or whatever the most accurate verbiage is and will begin converting the back 9 next year.
