I haven't played Indian Ridge since 2008, and I've learned a lot more about golf course architecture since then, but I fondly remember my rounds there. It's a solid golf course that provides plenty of opportunities for birdies, so if you have a "blowup hole," move onto the next or the following hole and you'll probably have a decent chance of getting one back.

Their clubhouse burnt down at one point, so I'm glad they've successfully bounced back!

Yes, I'm resurrecting a 10 year old thread...

Conditioning was excellent, particularly in light of the lack of rain the area has been experiencing. Several of the retention ponds on the course have been seriously drawn down to maintain the grass.

The course in probably not walkable. The hills would add a bit of difficulty, but the routing is the main problem with walking.  A few very long green to next tee walks. Certainly not a must-play course, but definitely on my list to get back to or when someone needs a recommendation for a nice public course in SW Ohio.

Leave it to a thread on Indian Ridge to draw me out of GCA hibernation.

I'm glad to hear the course is doing well. In 2007, the retention pond by 7/8/10/11 was completely dried out by the drought we had that year. I felt the course didn't really recover until their new owner came in. Of course, they had quite a bit of drama, with their cart barn burning down in 2004 and then their clubhouse in 2009 by arson. The new owner built another retention pond by 14, and I know that was part of his plan to bring the course back. I haven't been back since the owner took over, but I'm glad to hear the place is doing well. I played it a lot back in my Miami (University) days, which get further and further away from me.

I'm more concerned about if his wife has recovered from the Skyline by now.
