Darth Smiledoc - Thanks for the link. For me, opening night was a first time at Friar's Head experience and one I'll hopefully not forget (despite having seen the movie now many more times.)
Anyway, I think it's silly to compare a movie to a golf course but as far as the hype argument goes, you'd have to be living on Dantooine to believe that The Force Awakens didn't live up to the massive expectations bestowed upon it. Nothing should have to be perfect to be a success. As long as it evokes feeling and, if lucky, sustains it, then by gum you've won me. I wish I could bottle the moment I heard Snoke telling Kylo Ren (and the audience!) that the droid was in the hands of his father, Han Solo. That's the E green at Ballyneal shit right there.
Ok, so maybe we can compare film and golf courses.
