Wow. It's blazing hot in Eugene, and without AC, I can't say I'm getting much sleep. So I thought I might actually beat you east coast guys to this one.

Certainly we will hear lots about how the greatest golfer ever won the 1976 Open Championship with a final-round 66 at Royal Birkdale  ;D

Considering the alternatives, this is very good news for U.S. golf fans. It assures maximum viewing time.

Was Berman ever involved with the Open coverage? I only ever remember hearing him on US Open broadcasts. Nonetheless there isn't a huge difference between CBS/NBC/ABC/ESPN for me in golf coverage. FOX is the one I'm a little worried about based on their limited work so far.

That's good news.   Though I did like the Ian McShane bits, and the aerial views (from small airplane?) were fantastic...

I can't speak to whether Sky is a good thing, but in the U.S. I'm looking forward to NBC's coverage. I've definitely come around on Johnny Miller and think he's pretty good. I'll also be looking forward to seeing Feherty at the Open.

NBC/Golf Channel's 2016 summer-fall golf lineup is the Open, Senior British, Women's British, Olympics, playoffs (last two rounds of Barclays on CBS), Ryder Cup. Pretty strong.

I've often wondered....wouldn't this music actually be OK to blast from your golf cart on the course?  I mean cmon, who wouldn't want to be playing golf with this in the background!!!
