Peter Blair - Willie Park's Emissary in the US
« on: November 03, 2015, 10:52:24 AM »
The following blurb is taken from the Aug. 19, 1895 edition of The Sun.  It gives a brief description of the connection between Blair and Park, and notes that the laying out of courses was part of Blair's occupation.

The only reference I've found to Blair's design work is from another article from The Sun on Aug. 19, 1896, where he was hired by S. C. Rowbotham to lay out a private course in Hohokus, NJ (which I believe became Hohokus GC).

Does anyone have any additional information on Blair?

Park 'always played as an amateur in Scotland'? This is news.

Pretty sure the article is talking about Blair playing as an amateur.
