Say a prayer for our own Tiger, guys.
« on: December 16, 2012, 05:38:18 PM »
He will never come on here and say it but I will.  Forget all this golf stuff for a few minutes and say a prayer for our GCATlas member Tiger Bernhardt.  And if you don't pray then put him in your thoughts.  He's got quite a battle going on.  I'm sure he would enjoy hearing from guys on his caringbridge site also.  Give it a sincere group effort.
Cheers.

I was hoping to see John this week on a "social" visit to NYC with his daughter but his health prevented it.

I have been stuck in a hotel room for 48 hours in Cambridge, MA with the flu trying to keep my son from getting it during his tournament. As lousy as I have felt this weekend, I am doubtful that John has had a better day over the last year and I never saw him complain (other than bad calls against his LSU Tigers).

Hang in there Tiger.

Keep up the good fight John.  I want to see you on the golf course again.  We still need to finish our round at Harbour Town.

I have played with few stronger minded golfers than the Tiger.  That strength has carried him along in this tough fight.  All our collective thoughts are behind you John.

I'm thankful to have walked a fairway with Tiger, and shared our fellowship across the country through GCA.com gatherings where Tiger joined us in joy while pursuing the things in life we love and enjoy.

I'm more grateful to Tiger for his lessons concerning how to embrace life with courage and resolve, and his faithful sharing with us of his understandings of life that for him has become so much more focused in the face of his challenge.  I look forward every Sunday for his "Caringbridge" e-mail messages of how his journey has been for the past week, and that he has hope for the weeks to come.  It takes wisdom and courage to communicate such lessons and insights, and most importantly his quality of keeping hope.

It is also with admiration and a parental congratulations that I send to Tiger that he has raised such a angel in Katie.

I know I feel lucky to have encountered Tiger as we travel through life, and have been invited to share his thoughts each week.  I now humbly ask that he receive our prayers and meditations for his continued time here to enrich our understandings.

Tiger - we're pulling for you here in Clemson Tiger country. I don't believe my Tigers have much chance against your Tigers in Atlanta, but stranger things have happened. I look forward to discussing the game with you.
