One week from today the fun begins!!!!!  I'm very sorry to miss out on the putting contest Thursday night.  I've known several people in my life whose putting skills increased with inebriation.  I suspect we have a few of those in this group  ;D

Dang! This is a tough crowd! I have to say that I am really excited for this weekend. A week ago I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it. I went out to play a round of golf after work (my wife and kids were out of town) and someone stole all of my clubs. I have been trying to piece a new set together as quick as I can and I am good to go now. Since everyone else is trying to get extra strokes, you might as well throw a couple my way  :D :D

Extras  ??? You're going to be playing with a set with no emotional baggage, no tomahawks into wet turf, no helicopters after whiffs, shanks or the like, and you want extra strokes. Sounds like grounds for a few less strokes to me!

Well boys I'm packed and ready to go, picked up my rental car a few hours ago. I can't tell everyone how excited I am, I look forward to meeting new friends and seeing old ones, I know we are gonna have one helluva crazy time. I'm starting my journey a little earlier than most, I'm making the drive all the way from Houston and can't wait.

Sunday Cory Lewis and I are going to play Dallas National and make sure to complain that Fazio never gets the most out of the property.  Monday I am playing Old American in the morning and going to Crimson Creek in El Reno, Oklahoma, my college home course. Tuesday I will be at Flint Hills National in the morning and Prairie Dunes that afternoon. Wednesday I'm spending the day at Prairie Club and Thursday I will be at Sand Hills before heading to Dismal. If anyone's travels put them in the same place as me let me know.

I want to thank Eric for doing all this legwork, I know it's been a pain putting it all together and thanks to Chris and his staff at Dismal for hosting us. I have talked to Eric, the chef at Dismal, and we are going to eat well and drink okay too.

Everyone travel safe and pray that Eric makes it 100 holes on Monday.

Temperatures seem to be ~100 in Mullen.  Will most people therefore be riding as opposed to walking?  Are carts included in fees?  Do they have pull carts available for rental? 
Does the lodge have internet access?

The lodge has wifi and phone service. The course only has phone service on 9 tee.

Yes, cart fees are included. Pretty darn warm here today. 100 and something. Really nice out now though... breezy.

Just walked back from having dinner with Chris - excellent pasta and chicken dish. Now it's time to hit the hay. See you all soon.

Congratulations to GCAers Greg Krueger and Brent Carlson for their playoff victory at the 2012 5th Major!

The 5 division winning teams played a 4 hole single elimination shootout with Greg and Brent and Tyler Kearns and Matt Bosela battling up until the very end.
