Bourn (its first ever citation on GCA? A 1990s course that has hosted our Cambridgeshire County Championship in its time)

of which B&B and Goswick clearly the two seaside stars, with Huntercombe (as always) a unique pleasure inland.
No Wales since the spring - I need to get back, soon.

Thinking back on this I guess I had a pretty good year. A name that should not be overlooked on the list is Belfair in Bluffton, SC. Two challenging, but fun Tom Fazio layouts. Some great holes along the marsh that are really picturesque.

Working back to early September...the winter tour has commenced

Burnham & Berrow x2...steady very good
St Georges Hill...exceptional
Huntercombe...the club has a very way long to go with trees
Worcester...nightmare with trees, very good greens
Walton Heath Old...steady great
Wildwood Green...some interesting holes, but OOB wrecks the place
Pinehurst #2...Shockingly outstanding
Pine Needles...very fine reno
Dormie Club...less enamoured with than previously

Meant to play Notts on Thursday.

Sean, I am willing to take a two week vacation to come to Huntercombe if someone will provide a chainsaw if it's a matter of money.  Frankly, the trees and brush don't detract at all from the architecture but I'm sure it would help open up vistas and improve turf conditions and most of all - shut you up! :-*

Not that I'm bitter over my narrow loss to you there a few years ago.  Not at all.

I had not. I came away extremely impressed with the course and would highly recommend it to anyone that is ever in the area and can access it.
