Andrew,
What did you think of Quail Crossing?

It really liked it, although I played it by accident -- my in-laws' club was closed for an event so my father-in-law booked what he described as "a decent course in a housing development, but one that permits walking."
After the first few holes, I had become curious about the architect and, upon flipping over the card, confirmed my suspicion that I was in fact "on a Doak."
Good variety of shots (short, long, uphill, downhill, bending left, bending right) and green sites, flowing land and turf firm enough to hit running approaches on several holes. The bucolic look and feel of the land, and the resulting fit of the holes onto said land, reminded me of both Beechtree and High Pointe -- in a very good way.
Net net, a very enjoyable course with nice greens, and a tremendous value with a walking rate of $32/round on weekends and $22/round on weekdays.
Cheers, Andrew
