Interesting re Lookout Point.  The league stays overnight there for something like $89/pp including 36 holes....
The trouble with modern equipment and distance—and I don't see anyone pointing this out—is that it robs from the player's experience. - Mickey Wright

Wow! That sounds like a great opportunity.  And if you had a few extra hours, maybe you could add Travis' Cherry Hill Club about 30 min away.

I'm an outlier being in the other side of the world and can only get to 7 for the last 3 months but here goes.
Asides from the most recent course, the average green fee is probably $40-50.

Kauri Cliffs
Mangawhai
Waipu
Waiuku
Titirangi
Muriwai
Royal Wellington

The loop north from Auckland is very good and, in coming years with Tara-iti opening (and ideally some improvements to the existing understated links courses up there) it could be a great week of golf.

My last 10 courses played

Colorado Springs CC-my home course. Great people, golf course is acceptable
Olympia Fields South-love the renovation/restoration of the green side bunkering
Shoreacres-perhaps the most fun I have had on a golf course in a long time
Prairie Dunes, my home away from home
Salina CC in Kansas, an old Perry Maxwell redesign of an existing 9 holes and designed new 9 holes, admittedly don't see a lot of remaining influences. I did really enjoy it
River Forest in Forsyth Georgia, perhaps the worst layout of a private club I have ever played
New Mexico State University golf course..atrocious conditions, the course has some potential
Biltmore Golf Course, Phoenix, typical resort golf course, it did give me some confidence I was lacking
Grand Cypress, Orlando. Reminded me how much I dislike Jack Nicklaus golf courses
The Medalist Club in Hobe Sound, Florida. Great Greg Norman design. No wonder the pros hang out there.

Mostly great or really good golf courses. A few good ones. And one I don't think should have been built on the land...routing is terrible

I always enjoy this thread, just to see how much my list sucks compared to everyone else's.

Colorado National
Hyland Hills (Par-3) - went around in 24 strokes
Flatiron GC
Thorncreek
Park Hill (x 3)
Hyland Hills (Gold)
Evergreen
Heritage at Eagle Bend
Plum Creek
Heritage at Westmoor

Thorncreek is probably the worst course in the Denver metro. It also happens to be the closest to my house, and the one that I paid the least amount of money to play (except the par-3).

Matthew, throw Cherry Hills, Commonground, Castle Pines and Colorado Golf Club on the list, it wouldn't be so bad. I hope to play Cherry Hills this fall. Played Colorado Golf Club a few years ago, I had to pass playing it yesterday for free, courtesy of Colorado PGA.

I'm happy with my list!  Being a frugal German, it's tough for me to pay for golf when I'm already paying my home club my monthly dues :)

PS - Some/most of those lists are amazing.  I'm not jealous, but I do now realize I'm in a different tax bracket than a lot of you guys ;)

Yes. Drive no more than about 200 yards to where the hole makes a 90 degree turn around a length that runs the length of the hole on the right. A canal runs the length of the hole on the left. After your laid up drive, it's probably another 350 straight down to the green with trouble on both sides. I played there a lot growing up. In all those years I saw one person successfully clear the lake--it's probably a 245 carry. That ball ran through to the canal. I guess if you hit a nice cut that still flew 250 in the air, it might hold the fairway ...

The other 17 are over-treed and bore you to death. Though #8 was the site of my first eagle.

Thorncreek I only played once or twice, but I do remember a good number of silly holes. And there weren't even houses the first time I played it!
