Happy Birthday to Mike Malone
« on: February 23, 2011, 12:44:50 PM »
Its Mike Malone's birthday on Friday,  I hope Mayday has a great celebration,     A devotee of vintage Irish  courses, Generous host,
William Flynn fan and  Phillies Guru

Even though after a brief glimpse in 2004, Mayday insists that "Dick Wilson must be the architect of Shinnecock Hills"  I still wish him a

When I saw Mayday last weekend at Seaview, afterwards at McGettigan's he indicated he had a birthday coming up.  I asked how old he was and he quipped:  "53, but I am actually 55 but was sick two years".  ;)

I don't participate in OT threads unless they are about the economy/market and I can counter David Tepper's optimism.

   Anthony ,

I think JT may be a bit annoyed with me. He very kindly brings me to wonderful courses and then I come on here and rip them.

Dear Doug,

Sure, let's do it again, but not at that executive course at Seaview.

Sincerely,

Mike,

Cheers to many more! It was nice seeing you at Seaview.

Mike,

Happy Happy!

Also, be thankful that you do not suffer from the same early onset Alzheimer's disease as Doug Braunsdorf is most certainly suffering from.

I had a nice birthday. My wife and I went to see the mummies of the Silk Road at the U of P Museum . The mummies were naturally preserved by the weather and soil in the region as opposed to the Egyptian effort at puposeful preservation. BTW they had the Egyptian variety as well. I was reminded of the well preserved Rolling Green grill room members. I saw  Jeremy Siegel there, famous for his book " Stocks for the long term". As he stared at the impressive mummy I leaned over and said " a long term investor". He chuckled; it made my day.

I decided that for one day a stack of one thousand dollar bills that equals one trillion is not 134 miles high; that our unempolyment is not a structural problem; that the political disturbances here and abroad aren't connected to our consumerism gone wild; and that a market that is up this much in 102 weeks and only comparable to two times during the Great Depressionis not a speculative bubble.

I think if we get a 20000 Dow all of our problems will be solved.

Mayday,

Do you agree with Wilson's claim that he designed/redesigned Shinnecock ?

Happy Birthday.

By the way, January homesales were down.

And, boy, could I have put that stimulus money to better use.(;;)
