Bill Bergin is a good friend, and I had the opportunity to play Chattanooga with him back in November. He did a great job there, as he has with all of his courses both new and renovated, and it was a tremendous learning experience to play the course with him. The folks at Chattanooga CC are very happy with the work; an earlier post mentioned the fact that they list Bill's name along with Ross on the scorecard.
To hear a GCA explain why this or that was done, or how it had been changed over the years, or why something else couldn't be done, is just fascinating. This was especially so on a Ross design that had been changed a lot over the years for the worse.
