I had the pleasure of playing the little know Sedgewood golf club in Carmel NY. Having lived in the area for 20+ years I had never played this 9 hole gem. The best part about the place is how hidden it is. To get there you have to drive up a small mountain on a one lane dirt road. The club has about 100 members and a very modest clubhouse. The course is very hilly and has some really great charm. The thing that surprised me the most was the conditioning. The fairways were really firm and had great contours(something thats been non-existent in NY this summer). The course has a very natural feel and was by far one of the most fun courses i've played this year. Having played some really special 9 hole courses in the area (Fenwick included) this ranks right up there with them.
