The Term "Golf Architect"
« on: November 05, 2006, 05:17:47 PM »
On the start page of Golf Club Atlas it is stated that:

Quote
men like Charles Blair Macdonald brought it to America, where he coined the term 'golf architect' around 1910

Does anyone have a reference where and when CBM coined that term?

Now, Lord knows I love a factual inaccuracy on the internet as much as the next man, but Cowley-sama this time you have gone too far.

South Hampton - no!
Southampton - yes!

But rather more heinously, Queen Mary not even built until 1930/31. Clydebank, Scotland, incidentally....

...and before Mucci asks, do you have conclusive, incontravertible proof that CBM 'enjoyed' a stogie?

Soooo..... if no one can provide any evidence, citation or otherwise, this shouldn't be on the start page of the site :)
