Mr. Huntley:

Hmmmm... I've played Bayonet a lot in the last few years, I know I CAN score there as it is now... I always play the waybacks there also, it's the only course on earth where I have this tee ego (the thinking there is again this is supposed to be a test - why not take the full challenge).

It's still tough, no doubt.  But damn it's a shadow of what it once was....

Of course Spyglass ain't exactly easy either.

I'd say either one is gonna be a tough round for me - they're both very long and very tough.  15 years ago the bet's not close - oh yeah, I score WAY worse on Bayonet.  It's just a lot closer now in any case... Maybe I could sneak it in lower at the sissified Bayonet these days.  It would be a fun comparison in any case!

yes the pond on eleven was taken out and fazio did the bunkers.
The Tree on 16 got the canker and for safety reasons needed to be taken out but a replacement will be put back in.  Redwood or cypress are the possibilities.
T he bunkers on five were redone as well to account for sand build up on the tops from sand accumulation.
Twelve was also slightly redone to bring back its original shape, that is very hard to notice however.
