Carton House in Ireland is said to have an O'Meara Course and a Montgomerie Course.  Which would you rather play, assuming each course reflects the style of play of its nominator?  Suppose each designed one of them, which would you rather play?  This is a totally innocent question as I have never been to either.

James -

It is the East that has wicker baskets and the West that uses flags at Merion.

At my home course, it is East and West as well. Simple.

Stuff like East and West or North and South are fine, but what happens if you later add a third course that's further East than the East course?

It becomes Easter, of course.

Sorry.  It's late and my resistance is down.  :-*

Darva

I thought it was more obvious.  The new course would be 'Far East", and a subsequent course again would result in 'Middle East' and 'Far East'.  Courses to the west might become 'Wild West', and perhaps a further course even 'wild, wild west'.

Silly isn't it. ;D

Kiawah: What's a Cassique?

Many years ago on a bulletin board long since forgotten someone involved in the construction there theorized that Cassique was an Indian word meaning "change order." ;D
