« on: December 31, 2004, 11:20:12 AM »
Our friends down under have already started 2005 and I wish them and all the rest of the treehouse a very happy healthy and prosporous New Year. We here at GCA are so fortunate to have this site to share our love of this game and architecture. Thank you Ran.

Happy New Year to a truly remarkable group.  I hope you are healthy and happy in the coming year, and that you get to golf your ball somewhere that heretofore you've only dreamed about.  Make it happen for you or somebody else.

Happy New Year to all.

I got a special NY treat today as it was close to 60 degrees here in michigan.  Got in one final 9 hole round after the snow melted.  Probably be 3 months or so until the first of 05.

I hope tonight finds you all where you want to be.

Happy New Year to all

Thanks to Ran for making this site possible and not to mention so superb. In addition thanks to all the many posters for their excellent contributions. I may not always agree but I do always enjoy.

Visiting GCA is a wonderful break in a busy work day.

A very frequent lurker

Thank you to each who added a personal touch to their posts. I continued a personal tradition of hitting a few balls to start the day. OMG it was a beautiful day except for my Tigers. There is not a better feeling first thing new years morning than hitting a few balls to set the tone for the year.

Before someone started the tenth Happy New Year post, I thought it would be appropriate to bring this one from our long lost friend.  RIP Tiger and all those who have passed on.

Joel:

A nice touch.

I am getting ready to take up Tiger's recommendations of courses in Louisiana and Mississippi for inclusion in The Confidential Guide.  It will be sad not to play his favorites with him.

Seeing my pal's post could not make me more wistful.  New Years is a time for optimism and looking ahead, but also for remembering our friends.  There's nothing more important in this life than family and friends.  Happy New Year everyone.

I think Paul Jones, also of Lafayette and Oakbourne CC, has already mentioned this, but John's daughter Katie just had a baby and the boy's been named John.   Geaux Tigers!
