Where do you get these photos? The names are priceless too. What are we doing over here anyway? Why don't we just quit this country and go over there where we can hang out around some real golf courses? But I can't get off this subject altogether if I went over there. Just let me do some work on that bunker to the right of the green on the fourth photo down and everything will be cool.

The Warwickshire course has developed three Ryder Cuppers and two Silver Medalists on a shortish (72/6200) course. At L20 I might add it to this years play list.

Modified the above post to show more pics.

I love some of the fairway rolls and humps/ridges in front of the greens.  And yes perhaps a few really large rugged bunkers would round off the course nicely.

Course is a muni (£20 as Pete writes) and was founded in 1894.  No idea of the architect, never heard of it until today.

Once again , another very enjoyable post by you Paul.

Using Google , a few websites list it as , designed in 1894 by Hawtree and Gaunt Mornoch. Another listed it as a Hawtree and Vardon.

Just found out that this course was completely reshaped by Rees last year. He wanted to see what the reaction would be before taking credit though. Obviously some interesting things are beginning to happen in golf architecture!

He didn't take a fee for it either and since the D-8s were there Rees agreed to recontour all of Warwichshire while he was there.
