Tom Doak at Castlegregory?

I read an article that said Tom Doak was involved in a project in southwestern Ireland. Is that still happening, or did it get derailed?

(Just checking. I've still never played a Doak course.)

I think it's still being considered at planning authority level. There was a thread about it here not so long ago.

Tom_Doak:
I was over there ten days ago trying to refine my routing, both to improve it (I still am not 100% satisfied) and to avoid some areas that have been identified by the environmental engineers as more sensitive.

The final planning permission will be filed about a month from now and then it still has to go through all the hoops; but I understand that the locals are very supportive, unlike some other planned projects over there.

It will probably be at least a year before we know if we'll get to build it.  Bill Coore's course next door is in the same boat.
