You may be familar with the term over here of 'beer goggles', the more one drinks the more one's visual judgement is effected. It sounds like you have experienced a similar audio or intellectual loss of judgement.

I have indeed heard of the term "beer goggles" but never in the context of GCA, and heaven forbid with anything to do with Ran Morrisett.

Australia may be a place where men are men and sheep are nervous, but we do have some standards down under!! ;D
