Ticks!
I saw a show with Jimmy Walker and it's scary what Ticks can do to you. I assume the you guys in the field are always checking and taking precautions.

I don’t usually wear shorts on site - especially after getting a tumor removed from my lower leg two years ago - but even so, ticks are an occupational hazard and we do check ourselves every day. Once when I was flagging trees for clearing at Sebonack I got into a nest of them or something- there were at least 100.
The day the photo was taken, though, I wound up with major rashes on both legs from some of the weeds out there. It took a week of cortisone cream to sort that out.
No shorts in my bag for my current trip!

That would be pretty funny actually.

Care is needed playing golf and around the course too. You'll never know what unpleasantness or worse you might come across.

In Sweden, especially in the Stockholm area, the public are advised to take the TBE vaccine. Normally you take three doses and you are protected for 5 years I think. There were over 500 cases last year, and it's spreading quite rapidly.

If you're a golfer or someone that spends a lot of time outdoors, it's very important to get vaccinated.
