2. Photos have to have been taken in 2013 (with the caveat that any photos from 2012 that were taken after last year's contest ended are admissible);
Should be changed to 2014..

This year the winners of the contest have the option to forego a prize and instead I'll make a donation to the fund for Ted's son.

That pic could be on a cover of a book on how not to present a course.
My near ace on #13 at Kingsley (ask Howard Riefs and Michael Wharton-Palmer how impressive it was!);

Validated. Not a bad tee shot on a par 4.
wow that's an amazing tee shot on that hole. especially where the pin placement was that day. it's hard enough to hold a pitch shot near that location, let alone a drive.

A 30m pitch to the 4th green at my course with a Night Golf ball. Long exposure. The appearance of the ball flight having dashes is due to the rotation of the ball and the fact that the Night Golf balls aren't illuminated evenly.

Serious Suggestion: Since GCA doesn't do advertising, how would people react if Ran were to take your pictures and use them for a calendar?
Not that I'm speaking on behalf of Ran, obviously. But it was just a thought which came to mind and I find myself typing it.
've played with this image time and again in photoshop, but in the end, I submitted it in its beautiful originality. It's one of the calmest places I know, the 14th hole at Tobacco Road. The image was shot on a February morning, after a delay and a visit to a local diner called (I believe) Jim's Restaurant.

Upgrade to the 14.4k baud rate modem JaKa. I did so with my new Duo 230 and all is good.
Yea, about the same time people quit using calendars.

D*** you Kyle. Your posts always discourage me from posting anything. Someday you are going to get old and find you have to much on your plate to be taking the time to find the perfect image to shoot. :P

Sorry, somehow a post from 1995 found it's way back. Remember when people would complain about picture size? Yea, about the same time people quit using calendars.

That is priceless. I didn't realise the internet was that sophisticated in 1995 to actually have golf discussion boards!
We've been doing this a long time. I don't recall the exact year I became obsessed with the internet but find it no small coincidence that my last child was born in 1995. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_message_boards
He doesn't post on the discussion group anymore so I'll nominate Ran Morrissett for the photo at Los Angeles CC.
(http://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b556/tgfkiteboy/Mobile%20Uploads/WP_004431_zpsd3cae440.jpg)I can still recall a relative of this chap slithering past my toes on a path through some scrubland just off the Great Ocean Road. Never been so scared. No idea what kind it was but I've never run so fast as afterwards in my life. Give me a fast downhill, downwind, left-to-right foot putt anytime!

And this could be agony or ecstasy, as well, depending on how your feel about 3.5 million dollar water features
on a 33 million dollar desert golf course filled with flowers and artificial streams.
hey I know that place.
Chuck,
I can't wait until Spring when I can resume your mentoring.
I'm confident that you'll graduate from MIT with my assistance. ;D
Don't forget to give my best to the Secretary General.
RJ,
That's a mini-CM.
Two photos of real snakes will be posted shortly.
I should have taken a picture of the large alligator sunning himself on the fairway bank on # 8 Blue.
I tried to get him to move, but, he didn't budge an inch.
I got the message.
He wasn't letting me play through.
I lifted this one from Matthew's photobucket roll of others from Ratho in Bothwell:

Feeling lazy so I'm going to extend the entry deadline to the 27th. We'll do the voting after that.

I'm sticking with my Boulder Ridge submission earlier in this thread, but I thought this shot of Pebble Beach #5 was worth sharing as well.

Mr. Lavin and I think this picture of Mr. Lewis in the Devil's Asshole bunker on the 9th hole at Dunes Club fully captures the architect's intent. Mr. Lavin feels it shows the architect's ability to frustrate the aggressive, or in this case cocky, player.
