Title: Winter is the time for reading
Post by: Willie_Dow on January 08, 2011, 08:18:56 PM
Having just read "To the Nines" by Anthony Pioppi with the wind blowing at 25 degrees facing north, and awaiting my Tuesday flight back to Florida, if we get out of Philly.

This is a great book.  It may be the answer for the future rebuilding the game with fewer holes to maintain, and a shorter time to get around the course of play, and back to home with the family.

My best to you and yours, with golf on my mind.

Bill,

Enjoy the warmer weather, my friend.

I agree with your general thought that golf needs to get back to basics, and much simpler presentation and playing options for it to continue to be relevant in the more austere times I fear we've just begun.

Mike - You must come down to So Pines in November for Richard Mandell's Symposium.

Those minds fit, and they are great guys.
