Good news for Tiger fans!

They had that press release written up last week.
We'll have to wait and see what happens when he returns to the course, which is at least 6 months away. I hope that he can return to the level of golf he has been playing for the last 3 years; I find it extremely enjoyable to watch.
Until then, we get to find out who is the BPTWAMWOTITF (Best Player To Win A Major Without Tiger In The Field). I predict it will not be Mickelson, and it will not be Sergio. Maybe Stewart Cink in the PGA...

I'll head over to redanman's blog to see what an ortho surgeon/strong golfer has to say.

Thanks for reminding me about Bill's blog, Pete. There is a lot of good reading on that.

Success! That's great! Just like the successful surgery three months ago!
-
He had his ACL replaced. If it came from a cadaver, that's one lucky stiff!
Couldn't resist.
-
Curt Schilling's recent surgery was called "successful" too -- though his career is likely over.
Anybody ever recall an athlete's surgery being called "unsuccessful"?

Hopefully we won't see the discarded one on ebay along side the apple core......

Gale Sayers? He was never the same....
-
Hopefully he will not need Long term disability
This could turn into his Hogan Bus Crash.....................

I just know redanman will be sympathetic to Tiger's plight

Sayers led the league in rushing the season after his first knee reconstruction. It was a second and less serious injury to the other knee that did him in.
