I really enjoy TR.  It is a fun place to play.  One's first round there can be difficult (I was lucky enough to play it with someone who knew the course my first time around), but could you not say the same about Cruden Bay, The Old Course, NGLA, and frankly lots of other great courses?

The course is loaded with strategy, which is why the people who love it, LOVE IT.  The course is short on "framed holes", "shot values" (whatever that is), and perceived "fairness".  This would explain why many GD rates would not enjoy it.  In my opinion, it is one of the 3 or 4 places I would most want to play in the Pinehurst area.

For Ted S:

GD says 23
In state of NC - not bad
GM is the culprit

Now another:

Low course rating, high slope
Very tough to call much fun
But many do defend it

In the cup, one swing, free drinks
Then home 'til next year

"Where's the f&%$ing green?" could be a catchphrase!

What, Tobacco Road
Haiku, where do you come up
with this awful crap

Haiku is an art form invented to give dumb elementary school teachers something to teach. I hate everything about it.

(But I did like Michael Moore's)
