I suggested to my wife that my walk up song should be "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred. She rolled her eyes. Dammit.

"Home By The Sea" by Genesis, or anything by James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel, or The Gin Blossoms.

My best hope is that for next years Waste Management Open in Tucson golf is introduced to the walk up song. Once Shelly is in we're all in.

And, just to keep a bad thread going...What would be you favorite Pros walk up song?

Has anyone here ever actually had walk-up music?

But the answer is Walk by Pantera.

Gimme Shelter. I was 9 years old in 1969 when that song was released as the first track on Let it Bleed. Wow...that is one hell of a walk up.

In that vein. In 1977 Queen released We Are The Champions. I was 17 at the time. It was a common "Walk off" anthem for me. What a douche we could be.

I always thought the great bass line in Live With Me should have been the opening for Let It Bleed.  For some odd reason it reminds me of Blue Train's minor opening.

Sean,

Don't forget that back in the day we all needed a reason to get off our ass and turn the album over. If we were so lucky to be partying with an acquaintance who may have owned a reel to reel...you would leave after the buy, no matter what the song. I so miss the art of producing a great album.

Off topic. But probably the most scared I have ever been in my life would have been in 1979 when I walked into some guys apartment and he had a pair of Bose 901's, a reel to reel, all powered by a Marantz amp tubes a glowing. I was out of my comfort zone.

My fragile game is so dependent on tempo, that anything fast  or upbeat wouldn't help.   I have actually sat in my car, before a big tourney, because the wrong song tempo was on my car radio as I drove up, while I waited for the right kind of song to come on, so I could leave the car and have that tempo  in my head all day.    Really fragile!   :)  I'm partial to the Grateful Dead, so something like "Sugaree" has the right slow swing tempo!

Althea by the Grateful Dead- I’ve actually hummed this to myself to focus on a relaxed tempo, also gets bonus points for being Al Franken’s favorite Dead song.
