Welshpool on the reco of Mark has long been on my hit list

Any fan of courses like Kington/Church Stretton/Cleeve etc will I'm pretty sure like Welshpool.
Look out for a collection of fabulous olde photos in the Clubhouse, which is more old wooden pavillion style than a modern clubhouse. And the road leading to the course? At first you question yourself "Is this really the road to the golf club or does it go to the local farm?" - narrow, steep, twisty and with grass growing in the middle of the road. And then you come to the top of the hill and it's open land with tees and greens and sheep grazingly and views over the lovey Mid-Wales countryside. A rural James Braid special -
