Village of Grand Beach golf course is virtually unmaintained, needs about 200 trees removed, only 9 holes...but is so much fun to play.  The greens probably stimp around 8 but it is mostly built on sand dunes, have fun push up greens, blind shots galore.  I may be playing this course up too much but every time I play there I leave with a smile on my face.  It reminds me of the cheap munis I used to play.

I was thinking that same thing.  Add New England as well as there are so many Ross and other classics that get overshadowed

I like Sean's suggestions - I always do (when they relate to golf, I should add).

I agree that there is good golf to be found under the radar in East Anglia. We know of RW Norfolk, Hunstanton and R Worlington, but I would recommend to anyone visiting the area also to consider King's Lynn, Sheringham, R Norwich, Gt Yarmouth, Aldeburgh, Ipswich, Feklixstowe Ferry, Rushmere, Woodbridge, Thorndon Park, Gog Magog. Different styles of courses but no shortage of interest. I'm sorry to say that R Cromer doesn't excite me, other than those holes late in the round up on high ground beside the lighthouse. A friend's mother was Lady Captain at Eaton (Norwich) and speaks very highly of it. I've also heard good reports of Diss, but I have no personal experience of either.
