Thomas Bastis wins the Turfnet "Superintendent of the Year" Award, handed out Thursday at the GCSAA/Golf Industry Show in Orlando. Congrats to Tom Bastis for a job well done. Tom & his crew did a great & generous service to the game in helping to restore/rebuild the greens at Gleneagles.

Congrats on the award. I have played there a number of times now and have been blown away by the quality of the turf and firmness of the playing conditions. Kudos to his staff including the artist Josh Smith and George Waters, when he is not off shaping.
